I notice you're using a semicolon instead of a colon when you're appending to your \$PATH variable. That line is just setting \$PATH to itself, then trying to execute /C/melon/msys2/mingw64/bin, if I understand correctly.
I hate to ask this, but how do I adjust my local PATH environment variable to include the MSYS2 bin that has cmake while I have an active MSYS2 shell going? I've Googled for my best guess of what I want to do, and the answers are dogshit, which is typical for Google these days.pic.twitter.com/qPASxDlFg2

I'm not familiar with the %VARIABLE% syntax for Bash. You might want PATH=$PATH:/my/new/path in order to append.

Thank you. The issue was twofold: First, I was trying to use Windows-style command-line syntax while joining the PATH environment variable in a *ix-style shell. The second was a typo (msys2 instead of msys64).
