Pretty sure that not only does Steve Martin not do this, but this was what is commonly considered among neurotypicals to be known as "a joke", regarding an idealized hypothetical situation where one might do this, and everyone is on the level. One which does not, in fact, happen.

imo its not unfunny because the hypothetical scenario would give me anxiety though
