Not to be too pointed about it, but the Kdenlive documentation says nothing about WSL: https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Development/WindowsBuild … And, honestly, spending the whole afternoon and evening faffing around with WSL just so that I can compile a two-line bug fix is not my idea of a good time.
To actually be pointed about it, such a bar for contributing a simple, one-off fix to a project is exactly the sort of gatekeeping that the purported open-source "community" could do with less of. And if that's the bar I have to hit, I'll happily just use Sony VEGAS Pro.
