There are code contributions that have been made to MAME, by people still working on MAME, that are old enough to drive, buy smokes, and buy liquor. That's a hell of a thing for the fractious group that is the emulation community. It's seriously inspiring, yeah?

me. the last code contribution was in the days of bringing up the Sega and Atari vector games

Don't sell yourself short. If anything, Bitsavers as well as all of the help you've wrangled by way of the CHM has been all the more relevant in light of MAME"s new direction.

To be fair, I think you need to add David Haywood to that list. On, or off the mailing list (RIP), he's been a continuous contributor for decades, and helped many external contributions come to fruition. Everyone else, absolutely.

Haze and myself would be part of the "new guard", but yes, I feel like a twat for omitting him from the list, as his contributions are legendary.

I've been around, but contributions? Eh. But the "love" sentiment, totally with you there.

You've made boatloads of contributions. A project is more than just a lump of code. I only omitted you because I wasn't 100% on how early you joined the team, and preferred not to guess. No offense intended at all!
