As much as I appreciate recruiters reaching out to me on LinkedIn, sometimes it's really hard to be diplomatic. Someone for a major publisher I once worked for reached out. I politely explained that I'm rather happy at my current job, and not looking to change roles right now.
Recruiter says, "Sure, no prob! If you know anyone who could be a good fit though, let me know." Sure, I guess if there are any coders I really hate, I'll suggest that they work for a publisher I remember less fondly than the one that literally laid me off in 2011. Like, really?
I hate it when recruiters follow up with the "do you know anyone?" question. Like, you want me to do your job for you too? Will I get a cut of your placement fee if the person I send you gets hired?
Holy shit. Yeah, same.
