It's great that Windows ARM VMs are now easy to launch, but what exactly is it useful for on ARM? Is there a preview somewhere of a native Visual Studio port, or any of the other things that Windows does well enough to envy?
In all honesty, it seems like it's going to go in the same direction as Windows MIPS, Windows Alpha, and Windows PPC, the first of which (NT for MIPS) can actually be installed and run in MAME nowadays.

In the case of NT on MIPS, Microsoft even shipped a native version of Visual Studio for it. But it didn't really matter. Without a reason to target a platform with a notably tiny user base, developers didn't take the time. The user base never materialized. Vicious, meet circle.
