the mysterious 24 word packet that you originally posted, is that what these matrices look like typically or is it supposed to be weird for this game? what does it look like for a game that renders correctly?
After each coordinate is run through f24_to_f32 in the namcos23 driver (linked previously), the resulting X/Y ranges are -/+1.5625 and -/+0.585938. Problem is, I'm not sure if it intentionally exceeds the screen bounds.

at least the Y value would be in the range +-452.67 after multiplication with the 772 scalar; the X value would require an additional division by 2 to make sense

perhaps both are divided by 2... wasn't Y interlaced on these old systems?
