I've asked before, but is there anyone following who has a self-hosted blog? If so, what CMS do you use, if any? I'm looking for something that doesn't involve faffing about with HTML or other markup languages, and has some relatively basic features.
Just something that's relatively WYSIWYG, gives a decent enough UI+header to users where they can look through old posts, and allows me to do things like in-line embedded images and YouTube embedding without much of a fuss. Oh, and won't get owned by spambots within 5 seconds.
For something like that, I generally suggest Wordpress with minimal plugins. The plugins are what get hit hard security-wise. Akismet keeps spam down to a very low minimum, too. My site (http://firehawke.sanctuarycrew.com ) while not what you're looking for, is...
...using a Hugo theme template; the site is static, but it uses Discourse for comments. That requires using Markdown for posts, which goes completely against your requirements.
