Another student came by like 3 months ago selling the same. I only bought one pack, but those have been the best damn socks I've had in ages. I've been hoping someone else would show up selling more of them. Those are some resilient-ass socks.

I used to buy those socks all the time. Then had a phaze of only having marino wool socks and now i'm at thermo insulating heavy duty work socks.
I'll check both out, though I tend not to spend a lot of time on my feet, so they might not be ideal for me. The thing about those Bambu socks is that I have a weird gait due to one of my feet having a dropped arch, and previously I'd grind through a sock in like a week.
Did you tell the student you saw recently about that earlier incident and being like "Oi mate, give me them socks, they're some bloody good stuff"? (Substituting Australian accent/whatever-it-is to a Swedish one optional)
