Someone else asked me the same, "git branch" says "* master". "git pull origin/master", "git pull remote/master", "git pull master" All result in an error that such a repo doesn't exist. "git pull" reports that everything is up-to-date.
Out of sheer morbid curiosity, I'm now running a "git fsck", we'll see what it says.
try git branch -r and see what remote branches there are, then git log one of them to see
