Unfortunately, UI tends to be seen as a "lesser" pursuit by many other coders for some reason. Like any Tom, Dick or Harry could just roll up and start knocking together a menu while walking the razor's edge between flashiness and broad usability.

My idea of usability and user experience is making my fixed font, 80 columns terminals, use a 15 pt font so I can read them. I really admire people that go way beyond that
