@TimStellmach wouldn't have ended up at VV. Maybe@TerriBrosius1 and@ebrosius and many other LG folks wouldn't have wound up at HMX. Maybe the whole "war" between Guitar Hero and Rock Band, which is what GH would have been without ATVI, wouldn't have happened.
But if that had never happened, then I'd never have gone to work for ATVI. I'd never have been laid off. I'd never have taught myself to mod Minecraft. I'd never have ended up making the move to Sweden, and been happy for the past few years. Life is weird like that.

I feel you ! Back in the days, I also was involved in the franchise, as an editor and community admin for the French website of the brand. It was unpaid, because young and glad to be paid in games by ATVI themselves.

It went for two or three years, and they one day decided to close up all local websites to migrate everyone to the international one. I was devastated, but after some time I realized it made me learn a lot and basically grow a lot personally.
