I've only been contributing to MAME since '02, observing the emulation scene since '97, doing game development since '05, and have enough in-group stories about the scene to fill a book, but if I can talk your ear off without having to get on-cam myself, so much the better. :)
Which reminds me, I need to write down my thoughts on Corn one of these days. Not the vegetable, that is, but the N64 emulator that rose and fell within the span of a year, and which used static recompilation for massive speed gains, never seen before or since.
