I would call myself a fan perhaps, but given today's concept of fans, I would say I'm not a "stan". Would love to some day have a pint, but am not the "have my babies" type, if that makes any sense.

Credit where credit's due, Rare's composers (and former composers) are all total units. I remember being 17 and still at uni, circa 2002, and e-mailing Graeme to ask for some critique on a bespoke MIDI sequence of a Blast Corps track I'd arranged. And getting an answer.

Getting an answer! That's the thing! I'd send the weirdest questions into their letters page... and they'd just... answer them wtf. I asked if Jolly Roger was going to be in Nuts & Bolts, as a joke, and they just said yes so I got the weirdest accidental scoop
