I know you weren't asking me, but I'd like to hopefully become informed rather than just despair.
I suspect that there's an argument that could be made that since it would be a reintroduction of the law and not a boilerplate reenactment, there would be the opportunity to tailor it to modern-day venues of communication, but both-sides-ing known facts is unpalatable regardless.
