I wonder if the expected data range is important. The values were variable requiring the calibration step since it was resistive touch
Most likely important, but there must be some baseline check of "is this sensible", since it doesn't seem to move the target icon after I tap and hold on it. The calls to input_set_abs_params in jorn720_ts.c are interesting, but not enlightening.

The specified min/max pair for the X axis is 270/3900, and the min/max pair for the Y axis is 180/3700. I don't comprehend those max values, as the raw X/Y values returned are limited to 10 bits.
