No place to do voice/video/stream chat? That seems so antisocial these days. Of course I totally get the aversion to doing voice or video, I'm pretty shy around it too, but it's one of the features, so why not offer it?

It was a joke. I'm definitely aware of the balkanizing nature of doing so. (I'm assistant-admin in a few servers but I have steadfastly avoided spawning one of my own.) Unfortunately the proliferation of closed platforms has made this worse, and I guess made me cynical.
