I saw it in theaters. I was honestly blown away by the quality of the CG, at least in light of the fact that I'd been breathlessly talking about it with schoolmates 3+ years earlier. The story and plot, though, well... yeah. A bit less so.

It def was amazing for 20 years ago. Back in the day I thought Reboot was one of these best animation styles I'm back to more traditional and anime but CG can still be cool.

Reboot gets a lot of flak these days, but given that it came out in '94 and ran until '99 (we don't talk about Season 4), it was both a product of its time and honestly straight-up awesome.

The thing a lot of people forget about it is that it languished in development hell for quite a number of years due to the visual target that was being gone for.
