Considering what's happened last year and continues to happen, I posted that as a reflection of my feelings. What you posted is the opposite of my feelings. idk why you decided it was necessary to counter them. Perhaps my feelings as expressed are too earnest for you? idk.
I apologize, Eileen. I was hoping to make a joke about how 2020 was a pretty difficult year and that I will not be missing it, in light of how it has affected and others. I've instead caused offence. I apologize for my short-sighted view towards my reply.

I completely understand. 2020 was pretty much the hardest year of my life - including a year spent unemployed and scraping for change in my roommates' couch cushions. And that itself can't even compare to the suffering others have experienced. I hope 2021 is better for you.
