I'm a huge fan of platformers, but with some limits. I grew up with Mega Man, but always sucked at Metroid and Castlevania. I've already bought it, but my backlog is colossal. What's your take given my context? Should I give it a go over the holidays?
Also, in the event that you're reading this, Mae, thank you. Your comic is single-handedly responsible for me actually having friends in the early 00's when I was going for my Bachelor's degree.

I was taking Calculus I (which I ended up having to re-take because the professor's presentation style was bone-dry and I learned nothing), and this one dude was wearing a Real Life shirt, which I'd been an avid reader of for about a year at that point.

I went up and complimented the dude on that shirt, and we ended up getting along great.
