Holy shit, Celeste is FANTASTIC. Brutally difficult, but absolutely fantastic.
I'm a huge fan of platformers, but with some limits. I grew up with Mega Man, but always sucked at Metroid and Castlevania. I've already bought it, but my backlog is colossal. What's your take given my context? Should I give it a go over the holidays?

It has an extensive configuration to make it easier/more accessible if you want or need. I can't recommend it enough.

I played Celeste a year or two ago, on the switch, and I still play the soundtrack sometimes. It's amazing. FWIW, I finished the main game without easing it, but I couldn't manage the DLC. My backlog is also enormous. Damn FOMO.

I was taking Calculus I (which I ended up having to re-take because the professor's presentation style was bone-dry and I learned nothing), and this one dude was wearing a Real Life shirt, which I'd been an avid reader of for about a year at that point.

Absolutely give it a go. The individual stages are hard as hell, but the reset after failure is super fast, and you learn quick.

Absolutely you should play it! It’s a shining example of how to make a game accessible to EVERYONE. I played through the first few stages legit, but wasn’t looking for a game that took me months to master, so I used those options to complete the game & enjoy the latter half
