In 28y of growing up in the US and 7y of living in Sweden, this is the most unusual Christmas yet. My partner's twin's family isn't making the drive up from Gothenburg as his brother's wife is in a risk group. His mom was exposed to an infected coworker last week, so quarantine.
Yet despite that, I'm still incredibly thankful. Because I know there are people facing eviction right now. People who can't afford to celebrate. People who are celebrating, but with permanently-missing family members or friends.
