I've got a potentially stupid question for open-source devs and maybe @github.
I want to pull these changes into my local tree but don't want to do a completely clean clone, if that makes any sense. How do I do it?https://github.com/mamedev/mame/pull/5049/commits …
Not sure it really applies here. I want to take this pull request - https://github.com/mamedev/mame/pull/5049/commits … - and apply it to my local tree.

In that case what you probably want is to add the pull requestor's tree as a remote; then you can checkout the branch and merge to your local master if you wish. https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Git-Branching-Remote-Branches …
Kiitos. Käytämme tätä aikajanasi parantamiseen. KumoaKumoa
