Question for Minecraft Bedrock users who are adults, since most of the kids responding on the threads I've found on Google so far are dumb as a box of dog shit: When I try to launch Bedrock Edition on my Win10 machine, it bails with no error modal after the splash. What do I do?
No beers yet. Bedrock Edition sits in the WindowsApps subdir of Program Files. It's pretty well-hidden from users. It doesn't appear in the directory listing given by Explorer. Navigating directly to it gives an obscure error. Running Explorer with elevated perms doesn't work.

In fact, after searching on Google how to get at the directory, I've found all of two links on Microsoft's own support forums, answered by some dude in a developing country following a script, and to no avail in both cases. The rest of the results are scam sites.

You can take ownership of the WindowsApps folder.

If you run ProcExp can you see it's command line invocation and repeat that? Closed processes linger (as red lines) for a few seconds so one can right click and inspect if quick. NOT very convenient.

No dice. The command line invocation (minus the path) is apparently this: http://Minecraft.Windows .exe -ServerName:App.[long shit].mca Trying to invoke it manually results in a bunch of errors. That was the one time I was able to actually get at it in time to see Properties.
