Well, that's a weight off my mind. Good thing none of them at all can boot SunOS 4.1 in MAME anymore, anyway, since I tried to make the MMU cache implementation more generic to make the SS2 tests pass (which I did), but simultaneously broke the shit out of OS installs.
Actually that makes it sound like I emulated the MMU's cache functionality originally. I didn't. That was fine for the SS1, which doesn't test the cache at all, and SunOS was happy enough pretending everything was always in-page. That made the SS2's boot PROM very angry though.
