Life Pro Tip: Get you a guy, gal, or non-binary pal who can cook. Or be that person who can cook. You don't need to be Gordon Ramsay, you just need to be able to follow basic instructions. Except for when it comes to baking. Baking can go to hell.

Start with bread. It's baking and it's easy to get it right plus everyone loves fresh bread, except the allergics or anti-gluten people (like me, but i love it anyway).
Not a bad idea. I tried jumping into the deep end by attempting to make an apple crumble for Thanksgiving. Half a bag of flour, half a bag of sugar, and assorted volumes of microwaved butter later, I learned that I am an idiot and should stick to savory foods.

Yeah...I gave it four years of bread every week before I started with baked desserts. I think you can do it faster!
