Please. This. As a game dev who's had to watch countless managers at countless studios shoot themselves in their own foot, we don't deserve it. Gamers over-assume the amount of agency any given dev has at a studio like CDPR. When a clock is wound, the gears don't have a choice.https://twitter.com/pickassoreborn/status/1339871820942635008 …

Is management also responsible for the mass promising of trans inclusivity only for it to turn into mass transphobia as well? Or is that just marketing?

Marketing and management are one and the same. They typically have little interaction with the people who just get told what assets to author, what scripts to write, or what systems to code.

Ah. So the devs just agreed to make the transphobia and racism that's come out as being in the game since launch, and so are innocent victims.

If that's how you want to view it, that every coder, every artist, and every designer has full knowledge of every piece of the narrative that's going into the game, then go for it. You'd be wrong, but go for it. Being wrong doesn't stop the right wing, why should it stop you?

I'd be more than happy to explain the amount of insight that any given dev typically gets into the over-arching storyline and narrative in any given game that they're working on, but it seems that you're more interested in just being personally aggrieved, so you do you I guess.
