I'm not a huge fan of modern Stern games, which overly rely on multiball without any sense of flow about them. The majority of modern Sterns are Pick 'n Flick-style tables, which CAN be good, but they're also limited. I'm not being a retro hipster: 80s/90s Willaims/Bally are..
Curious about folks' thoughts here, particularly @IndieGamerChick - For DMD pins specifically, Williams or Stern?

peak era tables where you had a dream team of designers (one of whom turned out to be a child molester but that's neither here nor there) who combined incredible concepts with nuanced scoring and rules and a sense of flow that that has gone missing in recent years.

Mostly Williams, but with a few notable exceptions - Simpsons Pinball Party, AC/DC, Lord Of The Rings. The Williams design teams were encouraged to be in competition with each other. Stern doesn't do that - it's a schedule of X games a year with each designer getting a turn.

Williams. The early-mid 90's pins were great. Star trek tng, adams family, twilight zone, etc are still my favorites

I'll go Williams. Theatre of Magic, Taxi, Medieval Madness, Cirqus Voltaire, Funhouse.. a lot of my favorites in there, and I'm pretty sure most of those are DMD without looking at a list.
