I'm just me and always just been me but I'm not going to knock you if you're trying to appeal to the masses. (FWIW, I'm 43; tail end of Gen-X) All I ever ask is that people show me the consideration they'd want me to show them.
Truth be told, the relevant stories, struggles, and accounting of the gradual rise and acceptance of bsnes, higan, and ares as top-tier emulators would be one of the more compelling episodes. But I don't want that to be my main focus.

The subtext that you and others missed from the off-the-cuff preview is that I'd rather focus on emulators that were lost to the mists of time. The also-rans. Consider something like "Corn", a static-recompilation-based N64 emulator which died before its time due to leaks.

I'd like to talk a bit about the earliest days, before it was out in the open. The days when you needed a password to get into Archaic Ruins, etc.
