I think this can work. UltraHLE is definitely a good starting point. I think talking about Marat's emulators would also be good, as those were the beginning of the "scene" and the dumping community, which are subjects that can't be avoided. Virtual Gameboy 0.2, to be precise.

Yeah, I get that. I was recording in my living room, which has no soft surfaces other than two couches and a curtain to the kitchen. So yes, it has a very 'wet' audio profile. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to solve it other than forcing my partner out of his walk-in closet.

Fabulous idea and I'm already invested from your little demo. Perhaps dedicated videos on higher level emulation concepts in general for the layman? But add some motion graphics and visuals to this and you've got the recipe for a great formula!
