Given that my followers are mainly bots from my Mojang days and a handful of retro gamers, nobody who needs to hear this will hear it, but: If your entire approach to UX design is "I understand it just fine, the users should, too!", then you pretty much can just fuck right off.
Well, good luck figuring out how to accomplish that if you can't even directly interact with your users. Maybe this explains why modern UX is so garbage. Not out of any lack of interest from the developers, but corporate hegemony. Doesn't explain why FOSS UX is so bad though.

Well, the end user gets 1 LED and 1 power switch. And the LED is only connected to power, not even to software... :D

I've actually wished that they get four LEDs that were software controlled, so the installer could quickly can see what part of the system that isn't correct yet. But that part of the design couldn't be changed because of expensive EMC tests already done. So less UX I guess.

The corporate is definitely in the way quite a lot. The end user have no say and the developer might have no say. The middle layers have all the power. And they quite often suffer from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_principle … aas well as Dunning-Kruger.
