I have nothing against FPGA emulation in and of itself, as long as it's done with a proper accuracy level, but I very much have something against the folks who treat it like a magic bullet that can somehow be applied to emulating every system under the sun.
Perhaps, but there's also no cost-effective FPGA wizardry that will allow for real-time cycle-accurate anything-post-N64 emulation, either, unless you're prepared to pay a per-unit cost equivalent to anywhere from a truck to a small house.
