I've worked in film, TV and VFX for over a decade. Trying to explain low-lag or gaming in general to broadcast and display engineers is hopeless. Thankfully companies like LG are finally listening, although there's still a tonne of work to be done.
From your bio I see that you, too, are a CRT enthusiast. How do you yourself go about explaining to people that no matter how good flat-screen TVs get, blocking a white backlight in negative color space will never get even close to the color gamut of actual phosphors?

It's been a difficult ride. OLED and other developing LED technologies are going to make it better. But yeah, there was a large point in time where I was still telling low budget media and photography people to hold onto their CRTs to ensure their colour workflow was good.
Industry's answer to "but what about good colour?" for years was a 20" $50K broadcast OLED. That was like a 10 year gulf between CRT and the next display that could even close to decent colour at a decent price. And you couldn't play games on those things either (I tried).
