And no, don't talk to me about "game mode" on your TV. Don't even start. I've had "Game Mode" enabled on my TV for years, but the thing still has upwards of 40-50ms of video lag and easily 10-15ms of audio lag. Don't even fucking start with me.
If you're just pushing the raw pixels out to the framebuffer and pushing the raw audio samples out to the DAC, this wouldn't BE an issue, but it IS, so clearly there's some bullshit going on even in this supplemental mode, so what the fuck?

If I could, I would, but the thrown thing would most likely hit my shitty Samsung flat-screen TV that's been like a thorn in my side for the past 6 years, so I would probably wind up even angrier.
