The moderators on r/netsec seriously just flaired my blog post about end-to-end encryption as NSFW... Why? https://old.reddit.com/r/netsec/comments/jtykce/going_bark_a_furrys_guide_to_endtoend_encryption/ …

Same energy as any cartoon with gay characters being accused of being pornographic by 'concerned parents'

I don't agree with the inherent labeling of the link as NSFW, because it's not, but a cartoon that has gay characters as an incidental aspect of it versus a community that has heavily involved poorly-drawn lewd images for 30+ years kind of beggars belief.

Think you forgot some words there. In any case, I don't see the relevancy of that at all. I'm sure you're well aware that (a) the article doesn't have any lewd images in it and (b) associating entire communities with sexual behaviour like that is literally what I'm talking about

I'm well aware that the article itself, and all of its external links, are completely work-safe, and as such, the article should never have been flagged as NSFW. But "associating the community" the community with sexual behavior? I would never. It does that plenty itself.

Both facts can coexist perfectly fine. Nothing about the article was NSFW, absolutely. The furry community has a lot of people in it who have nothing to do with sexual behavior, absolutely. It also has a lot who do. I don't want to erase either of those aspects.
