Huh, look at that. I actually got a music royalty payment from SOCAN, a whopping $0.67 from Facebook somehow. Music royalties make absolutely no sense to me. I have no idea how any of that works.

After all, if they've identified a content host where lots of infringement happens for them and their licensees, and they can secure an agreement with the host to leverage the licensor's CID algo, tipping their hand to that fact would just harm the margins for all involved.
Anyway, I don't really know anything about anything other than emulation, moogles, and 15 years of game development that sometimes filters through that many years' worth of malted hops and bong resin, it's just my gut feeling / best guess.

SOCAN doesn't have any content to match with, at least not from me. I've only submitted track and artist names and track lengths to them, never any actual audio.

Jeez. That *is* a mystery. Do they have some sort of collective agreement where all members get some sort of small dividend? Something to do with publication of track info that contained information provided by you? This is baffling the hell out of me.
