There is indeed! It lives in src/lib/netlist. MAME already uses it to emulate Pong, Pong Doubles, Breakout, and Rebound. I have incomplete/partly-working transcriptions of Stunt Cycle and Tank, too.

Agreed, and other than some individual device implementations from myself and a couple of other contributors, it's pretty much the sole work of one dev, "couriersud". An absolutely brilliant individual.
