Got to be honest, I wish I had known about @InspectARTeam before I started manually tracing out that Quantel keyboard PCB a couple of weeks ago. I'm more a software dude than EE, but the idea of automated PCB tracing using computer vision excites the absolute hell out of me!

I'm honestly a bit disappointed that it's a bit outside my usual workflow - I tend to do my reverse-engineering using datasheets and decompilation. But the folks working on it seem like some really great peeps.

For the more hardware-inclined of you out there, I would encourage you to give InspectAR a shot, and get at me (and them!) as to what your experience is like. Cheers!

I should probably clarify, since me being wildly excited about software is not usual for me: This is *not* a sponsored endorsement in any way. I don't get anything out of it. I just think InspectAR is cool as shit.

It looks cool - but I get the impression it's meant for inspecting PCBs, not reverse engineering them. If it could do PCB-RE, I'd be VERY interested. I still have the Datatrak board to reverse back into a netlist.
