Weirdly, that's what happens when a company sidelines you to gameplay duties because they refuse to lose the <5% of the userbase running on Intel GMA 945 chipsets who are already having a miserable time, in favor of at least OpenGL 2.x. Glad to see Microsoft are more pragmatic.
