The one from this article? https://www.msys2.org/news/#2020-06-29-new-packagers … The article that has steps that don't work because "pacman-key" doesn't exist? Some days I really hate the open-source community. Seems like if nobody's getting paid, nobody cares about UX.

weird, pacman-key should be part of the base install since forever (since 2015 at least).

A teammate suggested that I was encountering a lack of pacman-key because I was trying to run it from within a win32env.bat-enabled command window instance, rather than a shell window, and that I should run msys2_shell.cmd. To my chagrin, that didn't exist, either.

I ended up just nuking my entire msys64 directory and installing the latest supported package provided on http://mamedev.org/ - only to find that 9 months is old enough that pacman still had that issue were gpg-agent would hang when closing the terminal window as requested.

It took about 30-45 minutes of wrangling, but at the end of it all, I now have a fully-updated "lld", which links MAME in 4 seconds rather than 4 minutes. So ultimately, despite the bumps in the road, I'm still super happy with the result.
