M2 and Capcom did all other collections. Digital Eclipse was only responsible for the 1st game. Which was quite well done but damn are it's challenges brutal. Capcom dropped it down a notch after that.

This sounds more like an issue with the underlying game engine than the game itself. You might want to look into your error logs to see if you are missing some key libraries or something. MS recently pulled a bunch of compatibility libraries from being installed by default.
