I feel that "you guys" to refer to a collective group can be considered sexist depending on the receiver, but that the intention of the person saying it should be weighted more than the inherent nature of the choice of word.

e.g. if someone really puts emphasis on the second word, they're being an exclusionary dick and should be called out on it. If it's just a casual, "'sup guys?" then the intent to be inclusive is broadcast. Still - I prefer folks, peeps, homeslices, etc. So many other options.

The collective term can even be omitted together, as the context of wandering up to a group of people with a casual "'Sup?" still implies addressing the group, while eliding the need for a descriptor at all.

In all seriousness, if you're in a close enough group that will know you're being humorous, why not? I know I'd get a good laugh if someone came up and used that one on me.
