Real talk, what exactly is the rest of the furry fandom supposed to do? Believe it or not, there is no furry shadow-cabal that determines who gets to call themselves a furry and who doesn't. The exact same problem happens with e.g. Anonymous and Antifa.
It's undeniably awful what happened to Durian, but asking the entire community to rise up against a small handful of bad actors is something that happens in Spartacus, not real life. All that can be done is to exclude the bad actors from social spaces and hope they walk away.
I clock how privileged this is, but a lot of us are just normal folks who participate in the community on a lark, and because it gives us a place to be. If given the choice between hyperventilating over every injustice and going to work, going home, and paying the bills, welp.
I don't understand what "privilege" has anything to do with me saying that the 'not all adult furries' rhetoric is just a distraction from trying to work to fix an issue. It's the same as how saying 'not all cops' doesn't actually promote any action being done, it's just guilt
