I know you don't run it, but it's been down for months and I'm just curious about what happened with it, if you happen to know. Thanks.

It's unknown whether the problem is with the backups themselves, the administrators themselves, a language barrier, or some other mysterious reason - perhaps the phase of the moon. All that is known is that the backups have not been provided to the MAME team.
The most recent backup one of our own members has taken is from 24 February 2017, which isn't tremendously useful given the increasing rate at which the Undumped Wiki had been edited. It's an unfortunate situation all around.
