I can literally hear one of my neighbors letting her kid watch one of those shitty "Family Finger" videos on YouTube, and it honestly makes me want to jump off the nearest bridge. The upcoming generation in 15-20 years is going to be absolutely useless.
On one hand, I understand what you're getting at. On the other hand, take a look at this (timestamp 5:56) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NceTdz8KlYU&t=5m56s … I'm dubious that teaching toddlers that "When the water boiling, tell me shout" and the word "sleves" are correct English is a good thing.

I understand the innate reaction to go, "Oh, those boomers," or to ascribe the typical reaction of older generations to younger generations, but at least I wasn't exposed to media that was actively *harmful* to my development.
