The worst part of it is, they're inevitably people who have made a boatload off of shady business practices for decades, and so have amassed enough of a bankroll that anytime an interesting lot-based auction comes up, they just buy the whole lot, then resell it for usury.
Perhaps it's a bit extreme, but in terms of preserving digital history, these people should be strung up in the streets and their ill-gotten wares redistributed to people who actually give a damn.
