In particular, this is why MAME includes a composite signal transfer shader in addition to a CRT shader - so that you can experience the graphics exactly as shit as they were originally intended to be.

Please also note that this has not stopped me from adding such filters to MAME by way of BGFX's extensible shader system. I just categorically disagree with using them.

That’s really cool you added them even though you hate them. It shows you’re objective as well as intelligent. I don’t use them either and only run MAME on a CRT these days, but I understand not everyone can do that l.
