No, I don’t think there was default font after early days. Letters were stamped from a text brush held somewhere. At a guess, the stencil of the palette area, since that didn’t need a stencil. Loaded offdisk, installed from floppy. Unlike Harry, where I had to write with CPU.
@randombler Do you remember how the menu text was drawn on the DPB-7000/1? The monitor ROM is issuing Draw commands at what are obviously the locations of the glyphs, yet it never seems to upload any glyphs. Is there a default font if none can be loaded from disk, or no?pic.twitter.com/39cMrfcsPl
