I’m also grateful that I live in Sweden, but that doesn’t make it impossible to acknowledge that some things probably could have been handled better.
They absolutely could have been.
But at the end of the day, my partner would most likely be dead if they still lived in the UK, so

Is this a race to the bottom? Is Swedish nationalism so strong it is impossible to protest? I don’t understand, I truly don’t.

And having some empathy for the people in the US and UK who have died as a result of the slow reaction seems like a better way to show humanity (which isn’t the same as panicking FYI) than being so self-absorbed
