Right? The hilarious thing to me is that if someone asked me to make a glitched-out video, I couldn't have done half as good as I apparently did out of pure ineptitude.

It kind of is. The video output timing is based on cycle-counting. Which, incidentally, is why it happened - I had mangled a few opcodes when I split them into separate callbacks vs. a huge switch/case tree, and had a few opcodes deducting too few cycles.
